Pantone’s colour of the year for 2015 is Marsala, an earthy mid-wine shade.

There’s no denying that Marsala is a strong, robust shade so I recommend styling with a paler colour and for today’s moodboard I’ve chosen beautiful blush. Here’s how to get the look:

  • Embrace the richness of Marsala with sumptuous textures such as velvet, silk or suede
  • Light burgundy roses are an obvious choice for flowers but why not consider orchids, dahlias or hellebores too.
  • This palette works well for all seasons; just adjust the ratio of Marsala and Blush depending on whether your want a bold look for Autumn and Winter or a lighter effect for a Spring or Summer celebration.

Are you a fan of Pantone’s Marsala? What colour would you pair it with?

Love,
